POW Watch: Week ending January 10, 2022

Windsor Spitfire Wyatt Johnston picked up his second POW of the season this past week recording eight points (two goals, six assists) in a two win effort over the Soo Greyhounds.

The Dallas Stars prospect is also tied for second in OHL scoring with 54 points (20 goals, 34 assists) in 29 games and his 1.86 PPG rank him third in the league. Johnston, the No. 23 pick in the 2021 NHL Draft by the Stars, has been solid for the Spitfires these past few games and has 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) and is a +19 in his last 10 games. 

Brendan Brisson of the University of Michigan picked up five points over the weekend (three goals, two assists) in a two-game sweep against No. 10 ranked UMass. The sophomore won his third POW honours this season and has 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 23 games for the Wolverines this season.

Brisson was selected in the first round (No. 29) in the 2020 NHL Draft by the Vegas Golden Knights.
