Lajoie is certainly a noticeable player on the ice thanks to his size and level of engagement however he doesn’t always stand out for positive reasons. His skating for one, needs a lot of work. He has very heavy feet and is awkward and slow in transitions. Far too much energy is extended in the vertical plane as he stomps his feet down and pushes through his stride upwards as opposed to forwards...
