CHL Announces Top Prospects Game Roster

A puck-moving defenseman who plays well at both ends of the ice, he has good speed and decent agility. He is a smooth, effortless skater and is very poised and confident with the puck. He is not bothered at all by any opponent putting pressure on him and will simply make the smartest play possible. He owns incredible strength, which allows him to outmatch anyone physically. He wins his board battles and protects his crease with ease. He defends the slot very effectively with his big frame and long reach. He possesses a good first pass as it’s both accurate and powerful from short and long distances. That being said, he often can be nonchalant with the puck and slow to react to any surrounding dangers or to pass the puck forward. He has good strength and wins most of his board battles. He reads the play well, can jump into the action when needed and has a powerful slap shot. He has showcased an effortless wrist shot release and likes to use opponents as a screen to surprise goalies. He has a knack for creating controlled zone entries by himself and skates through traffic with ease. He also shows poise at the blue line, solid decision making and it’s very tough to predict what he’s going to pull off next as he’s always looking directly at the net.
