Possessing very quick and explosive feet, Cajkovic can absolutely fly. He is a dynamic threat on the counter attack and can really punish the opposition on turnovers. His speed and ability to quickly change pace creates a lot of panic for defenders and if he doesn’t cleanly beat a defender, he often draws a penalty. He has good mobility and gliding speed that allows him to accelerate when he gets the puck, but he doesn’t often use his full stride. While excellent off the rush, he generates far less once play is established in the offensive zone. He loves to use his slick hands to dangle his opponents, but sometimes coughs up the puck in his own zone due to making unnecessary moves. He’s not the biggest player and is easily outmuscled along the wall. Owning some slick hands that help him avoid poke checks, both his slap and wrist shot are powerful and precise. Overall, he’s a very opportunistic player and he’s able to create offensive chances due to his speed. However, he needs to improve at processing the play in tighter spaces. He’s responsible defensively as he backchecks hard to get back in the play in his own zone. He has great potential, but some scouts have concerns about how his game can transfer to the professional level and whether he can be effective and consistent.
