A speedy center who offers a quick strike style of offence and utilizes his incredible speed to blow past defenders and punch through the blue line. An elite skater with lightning-quick strides and a quick first step that gives him exceptional acceleration. Good balance and agility on his edges, but his feet can get ahead of his hands, causing him to lose control. Has a quick release on his shot and can really fire the puck on net. While his puckhandling ability is strong, he still has room to improve his puck skills at top speed. Good vision in the offensive zone, displays patience and the ability to create space for himself with quick cuts and changes of direction. He can defer to the pass too often, as he sometimes seems to pass up decent shooting opportunities. Becoming more aggressive with the puck on his stick and working on improving his shot would go a long way to making him a complete offensive threat. His speed is an asset away from the puck but he could show a more consistent effort in pressuring opposing players, both on the forecheck and when coming back on defense in transition. Needs to continue to add strength to be a factor in board battles, as well as being more aggressive in getting to the dirty areas of the ice. Overall, he is a dynamic player who may have elite potential if he doesn’t just become a one-dimensional player relying on his speed only.
