A big, rangy playmaking centre who sees the ice well. Has a decent stride but needs to add strength and lengthen his stride in order to improve his so-so speed. Uses his size to protect the puck and make room for himself. Has a nice release on his wrister. Has soft hands and can maintain the puck while linemates get open. Shows that he can play a solid two-way game but does not do so consistently....
