Trethewey is a physical, offensive-leaning defender. His skating looks vastly improved, especially his edgework, since the last time I viewed him. That improvement allows him to move fluidly at the blue line. That movement, paired with sneaky good puck-handling skill, allows him to create room for himself to threaten as a passer or shooter.
