Wood is a big power forward with a heavy shot but who has some pretty noticeable skating flaws. It’s obvious to me he’s got more of a scorer’s mentality and shoots the puck a lot opposed to trying to strictly set up his teammates. I haven’t stumbled across many pure shooters this year like Wood, and while his playmaking has room to grow he should always stick with his shooting mind...
