Big and strong centerman. Maatta had lots of powerful offensive shifts. Able to protect the puck effectively with his strong skating balance and lower leg strength. Kept the puck away from opposing players with his long reach. Showed he can also dish the puck nicely when he had an assist while backhanding the puck in no look fashion.
