McLean is a two-way forward whos compete level is just off the chart, going in hard for loose pucks and battling in the corners. He struggled to corral pucks when the puck wasnt right on the tape. He does go right to the net when his team enters the zone. McLeans hands need work as he doesnt display any type of move and showed a weak backhand that he put right in the goalies glove.
