Volkov had a solid all-around game despite being unable to crack the scoresheet. He is a good skater with long, smooth strides and the ability to chase down loose pucks if given enough time to get to top speed. His foot speed could be improved, as it takes him some time to get up to top speed and he doesnt have the breakaway speed needed to be a consistent scoring threat. Hes also somewhat hunched...
