Wedman appears to be taking on the role of third line, checking center this season. He flashes speed and quickness, but often seems to check down and dump the puck, rather than take the risk of a turnover. He did not win a lot of his draws against Victoria and thus had trouble regaining possession. He tends to get a little lost in his own zone and does not commit enough to digging a puck out deep....
