Bannikov showed some inconsistencies throughout the game as he was solid defending one shift and couldnt keep up the next. He did a great job of keeping up with Ehlers and driving him to the outside and unable to make a play; but not long after, he failed to shut him down as Ehlers pulled out all sorts of fancy dekes and left Bannikov in the dust on the game winning goal.
