Makitalo was mostly invisible throughout the game and had not such a good mobility. He had a decent top speed but was pretty slow with his acceleration. Because of his strength and weight, Makitalo never lost his balance and he was never knocked around. He skated excellent with the puck and the opponents struggled to take the puck from him.
