Strand is a towering pivot with cool calm presence on the ice. Poise with and without the puck is the best way to describe Austin. Not much of an offensive threat but makes good decisions and his first pass usually finds its way out his own zone. He has pretty good wheels, for a bigger guy, which allows him to get in position.
