Notebook: Canonica, Dean, Raty & More

A player with good vision and passing capabilities, Haskins is at his best when controlling the puck and looking to create for his teammates in the offensive zone. He can see the ice extremely well and has a knack for delivering crisp and accurate passes into the high-danger areas. In the offensive zone he can operate in tight spaces, he does not rush his decisions when defenders are closing in on them and has the awareness to know where his outlets are when he finds himself in trouble. An above-average skater, Haskins has the speed to create separation for himself when carrying the puck. The biggest areas of concern for Haskins are his consistency and awareness on the defensive side of the puck. He needs to improve his willingness to battle in the defensive zone and prevent the other team from getting easy scoring chances. If he wants to reach his full potential he needs to bring his best effort on every shift and in every game, if he does that he could become an impact player in all zones of the ice. With his offensive potential, he has enough to be considered in the final round of the draft but he may find himself as more of a bubble player than a lock to picked.
