A sharpshooting winger who has a lethal shot that can challenge goalies from anywhere in the offensive zone. In the offensive zone he’s effective off the puck, always moving his feet to get open in the high-danger areas so he can use his elite shot. He can be effective on the power play when he has more time and space to use his shooting ability. Lindfors may have a shoot-first, ask questions later mentality but he can contribute with his passing, he has above average vision and can take advantage of passing lanes when he wants to. He’s not an anchor defensively, he won’t have a great impact in his own zone but he won’t drag down his teammates either. He will need to learn to keep his head on a swivel and be aware of his assignment because he can become puck focused and allow his man to get open for shot attempts. Lindfors’ skating could be on his biggest drawbacks, he’s an average skater whose speed is nothing to write home about. He won’t pull away from anyone in the transition game and often times has to defer to others to drive play because of it. If a team is looking for a shooter who will rely on special teams to contribute, Lindfors makes a lot of sense because his shot will find success at any level of hockey.
