A reliable, hustling center that shows some offensive pop on the ice. Quick to the puck and hot on opponents who have the puck and dependable along the boards when battling. Strong control and good speed. Gains additional speed on the crossovers and is able to pass the puck before it was turned over to opponents. Movement shows a little more side-to-side action instead of straight. Four-way mobility is good and is very light on his feet. Balance needs further work as he tends to stumble on pivots. Body leans too far one way or another though, which makes his skating a bit awkward. Consistency is needed when it comes to skating. Still, he manages to pull away from contact with the puck when he chases after it. Some trouble winning races and maintaining control after confronted physically. Not the most dependable when making plays, but able to help his team score by distracting the defense. Very strong offensively, and will remain in the slot to tip the puck into the net, or hold off opponents with for a clear shot. Defense is good, as he keeps pressure on his opponents but struggles to force mistakes or turnovers. Not overly physical and does not commit to body checks. Can be caught overskating his mark in his own end, which can cause turnovers.
