Shuidin is a smaller forward that displays good overall skating skills, possesses a quality top speed and is great in pivoting and backwards skating as well as agility. He doesn’t have quick acceleration but he can be an explosive skater, especially after his first few strides. Thanks to his speed and explosiveness, he is a ruthless forechecker as he uses velocity and agility to chase pucks. He is an offensive force and that’s where he plays his best game, always ready for a pass. He is always on the move and moves well into open ice areas. He is a good puck handler that can pull off moves with the puck on his blade. He loves to shoot the puck and does not waste time when he sees an opening shooting lane. Sometimes, he even shoots the puck when there is no open lane though, and it ends up getting blocked and heading back the other way. Needs to evaluate better when to shoot and when to pass. While he is always ready to shoot, he could improve his shot release and velocity. Although he is playing center, he is not necessarily the best defensive player and often gets caught skating around aimlessly in his own end.  He needs to follow his opponent with more effort and be more aware of the overall game situation and possible passing lanes. Due to his lack of size, he isn’t the most physical player and tends to avoid most physical contact.
