Sound hybrid goalie with the kind of fluid movements in net to turn away high-quality scoring chances. Tracks the puck well and plays with a calm demeanor. Confidently challenges shooters and makes difficult saves look routine. Positional awareness is remarkable. Able to move out beyond the blue paint to cut down initial shots and is able to contain the puck or redirect rebounds away from getting him in trouble. Attacks the puck, but to the point that it translates to a lot of secondary threats. Quick to recover to the near or far post in order to deal with plays coming from below the goal line. Lateral movement is deliberately smaller controlled shuffles and more powerful slides when needed. Remains square to the puck. Quick hands and a taller stance during preparation. Does have some difficulty with body control. Has moments where he struggles to move with the play. Unconventional means of making saves. Tends to take away the lower part of the net with a well-timed butterfly technique. Has a tendency to drop prematurely, even though he left the net to cut down the angle. Lacks a strategic approach to the puck and not overly economical with his movements. Still, has a tremendous chance to elevate his game and compete at the next level.
