FCHockey releases Final ranking for 2021 NHL Draft

A hard-working, gritty leader who can play on the wall or in front of the net. Overall, he is an average skater with a decent push off, but sports a short stride, which is very noticeable. Exhibits poor posture and mobility. Thin at the hip and is unable to get good drive for linear skating. He has good edgework but needs to work on the overall skating package. He is able to tuck himself away and time plays correctly enough to produce explosive plays. However, if there is no play after first touch, he has low success rate. His passing ability needs to be fine-tuned, and he very seldom creates a play in which there’s no presented option available. He is not the most consistent player on the ice, but he has capabilities that can be finessed to help in that area of his game. He can most definitely work off pressure and is able to change his angle quickly. He is limited by his poor posture and could use a skating overhaul from a skating coach. Defensively, he’s as committed as they come. He comes complete with adequate support tools and uses his stick to eliminate inside routes. Man-coverage and ability to battle in tight spots need some degree of improvement. Solid penalty killer. He backchecks consistently and shows heart. If he works on his skating skills, it will help his overall development.
