FC releases Winter ranking for 2019 NHL Draft

He may not have the quickest acceleration but once he gets a few long strides under his belt, he can catch some speed. While he has some good power elements in his skating, added strength in his legs would improve his skating. He sometimes struggles with quickness in direction changes but once he gets going, he has the hands and feel to get deep into the offensive zone and get shot chances or create passes. A lanky player who lacks muscle and balance off contact, he keeps to the outside of the ice quite often but comes around to be more of a net front presence as he feels out the game. He is the by-product of a rapid growth spurt later in his development and has a lot of the offensive tools you would expect in a smaller skill player. He has soft hands and a good touch on his passes, with confidence in hitting his man in stride and has a smoothness with how he caresses the puck. Forehand, backhand, saucer, into spaces for teammates to skate onto or with zip for deflections, there is really no pass that he doesn’t execute well. However, there is a lot of inconsistency in his shot, ranging from weak to lethal. His defensive game needs cleaning up and while his coverage in his own zone is a strength, he needs to assert himself more physically and be less reactive. Added sandpaper to his game would make him a more attractive pick.
