Zegras named USHL Forward of the Week

Trevor Zegras of the United States National Team Development Team was named United States Hockey League forward of the week for Week 5.

Zegras, 25th in Future Considerations’ preliminary ranking for the 2019 NHL Draft, had two goals and five assists for seven points in two games last week.

He is second on the NTDP to Cole Caufiled, ranked 21st, in points and first among points-per-game amongst all USHL players at 2.33, ahead of Caufiled at 2.00. Before joining the National Team Development Program, Zegras skated for Avon Old Farms (USHS).

Zegras, a Boston University commit, has seven points (two goals, five assists) this season, and had 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists) in 31 games in 2017-18.
