Wright headlines participants in 2022 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game

Shane Wright, the consensus top pick for the 2022 NHL Draft, will headline the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game next month. 

Wright, No. 1 in FCHockey’s Midterm ranking for the 2022 NHL Draft, has 52 points (19 goals, 33 assists) in 37 games for the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League this season. He is third in scoring among NHL Draft eligible skaters in the OHL. 

He also participated in the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship before the remainder of the tournament was postponed due to concerns around COVID-19. 

In all, the showcase will feature eight skaters ranked within FCHockey’s first round, including Wright (No. 1), Matthew Savoie (No. 4), Conor Geekie (No. 11), Kevin Korchinski (No. 14), Denton Mateychuk (No. 15), Tristan Luneau (No. 23), Nathan Gaucher (No. 24), and Pavel Mintyukov (No. 28).

The game is scheduled for March 23 at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium in Kitchener, ON.
