Top prospect Veleno traded to Drummondville

One of the 2018 NHL Draft’s top prospects is one the move.

Joe Veleno, seventh in Future Considerations’ Fall ranking for the 2018 draft, was traded from the Saint John Sea Dogs to the Drummondville Voltigeurs in exchange for three first-round draft selections in 2018, 2019 and 2020, plus two second-round picks.

Veleno, the only player ever granted exceptional player status into the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, won the President’s Cup as champions last spring.
