Sogaard named CHL Goalie of the Week

Mads Sogaard had himself a week worth recognizing.

Sogaard, 18, was named Canadian Hockey League goaltender of the week, ending Feb. 10, after posting a 3-0-0-0 record with a 1.30 goals against average and .960 save percentage with one shutout.

It’s the second time Medicine Hat Tigers goaltender has earned the honor.

Sogaard is in his first season of the Western Hockey League after being selected with the No. 32 pick in the CHL Import Draft. In 27 games this season, he is 15-4-2 with a 2.19 goals against average and .935 save percentage.

He is 49th in Future Considerations’ Winter ranking for the 2019 NHL Draft.
