Shane Wright scores incredible goal you need to see (VIDEO)
There’s been a lot of buzz around Shane Wright of late.
The Kingston Frontenacs forward and the consensus No. 1 pick for the 2022 NHL Draft hasn’t quit lit the Ontario Hockey League on fire as expected coming into the 2021-22 season. It’s been a cause of a lot of chatter of late, calling into question the ultimate upside in the 17-year-old and his state atop the class.
He both silenced some of those questions and made a loud impression at the same time Sunday night.

At the expense of goaltender Patrick Leaver and his Oshawa Generals.
Wright, who sits atop FCHockey’s Winter ranking for the 2022 draft, scored the eventual game-winner at 5:50 of the second period in the most spectacular fashion — a no-look, behind the back bank shot from below the goal line, off Leaver and in.
Needless to say, it drew some attention.
Wright has 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) in 28 games, and is fourth among OHL scorers eligible for the 2022 draft.
