Saville named USHL Goalie of the Week

Isaiah Saville of the Tri-City Storm has been named the United States Hockey League Goaltender of the Week.

Again.

It’s the third time this season Saville, 52nd in Future Considerations’ Winter ranking for the 2019 NHL Draft, has earned the Goaltender of the Week nod.

Saville, 18, pitched a 38-save shutout on Friday and stopped 42 of 44 shots faced on Saturday to improve to 16-2-1-1 and a league-leading 1.64 goals against average and .939 save percentage. He has allowed just 34 goals in 21 games, tied for the fewest among qualified goaltenders (min. 600 minutes played), and has helped Tri-City allow the fewest goals against (76) in the USHL.

The Storm have the best record in the league at 25-7-1-1.

Saville, who is committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha, also participated in the 2018 USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game, the 2019 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, recording 10 saves, and won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2018 World Junior A Challenge.
