Lundell named assistant captain with HIFK

Anton Lundell is taking a leadership role with HIFK.

He has been named an alternate captain with the club, the team announced via Twitter on Friday.

The 18-year-old is eighth in FCHockey’s Final ranking for the 2020 NHL Draft. He had 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 44 games in Liiga as a rookie this past season.

Lundell has previously served as an alternate captain with HIFK’s under-20 team in 2018-19.
