Kupari named to Finland’s prelim roster

Forward Rasmus Kupari, the top-ranked Finnish skater for the 2018 NHL Draft, has been named to Finland’s preliminary roster for the 2018 IIHF World Championship.

The tournament will be held from Dec. 26, 2017 – Jan. 5, 2018, in Buffalo, New York.

Kupari, 13th in Future Considerations’ Fall ranking for the 2018 NHL Draft, has three goals and four points in 19 games with Karpat, and three goals and seven points in 11 games with Karpat’s U20 program this season. He’s previously represented Finland at the 2017 IIHF World Under-18 Championship, and at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial and World Under-17 Challenge.
