Kevan, Lansing join Americans for 2024 CHL USA Prospects Challenge
Benjamin Kevan and Matthew Lansing will join the US National Team Development Program’s U18 squad for the 2024 CHL USA Prospects Challenge.
The team will face a collection of top talent from the Canadian Hockey League in the 2025 NHL Draft showcase on November 26 in London ON, and November 27 in Oshawa, ON.
Kevan, No. 83 in FCHockey’s Preliminary ranking for the 2025 draft, has 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 14 games this season with the Des Moines Buccaneers in the United States Hockey League. He has also played two games with the NTDP this season, and registered three points (one goal, two assists) for Team USA at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in August.
Lansing, No. 81, has six points (four goals, two assists) in 16 for the Waterloo Black Hawks in the USHL. He also played with the NTDP at the U18 Five Nations in November, and had four goals in five games at the Hlinka.
Forward William Horcoff, who has six points (three goals, three assists) in 14 games for the NTDP, is also unavailable for the showcase. Defeneseman Carter Amico will also not participate; he is expected to miss the remainder of the season because of a lower-body injury.
