Hayton, Dobson top testing at Top Prospects Game

Barrett Hayton of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Noah Dobson of the Acadie-Bathurst TItan are the toast of testing at the 2018 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

Hayton finished at the top of the overall standings in the off-ice portion, which factored results in seven different fields, at the testing held at the University of Guelph. Off-ice performance included strength testing, agility runs, and leg power evaluations.

Defenseman Kevin Bahl of the Ottawa 67’s finished in second in testing; London Knights defenseman Evan Bouchard finished third.

Dobson led the on-ice portion. On-ice testing included forward and backward sprints, reaction, weave agility, and transition agility drills each performed with and without a puck.

Defenseman Ty Smith of the Spokane Chiefs tied for second with London Knights forward Liam Foudy; Dmitry Zavgorodniy of the Rimouski Oceanic finished fourth.

Jacob Ingham of the Mississauga Steelheads topped all goaltenders in an array of reaction, agility, and movement challenges in specialized testing for netminders.
