Dahlin selected to Sweden’s Olympic team

Rasmus Dahlin isn’t done on the international stage just yet.

Dahlin, the top-ranked player for the 2018 NHL Draft, was one of 23 players named to the roster of Sweden’s hockey team for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics on Tuesday.

Sweden is expected to finalize its roster by adding two forwards on Jan. 28.

The 17-year-old was named the tournament’s top defenseman when he had six assists and a plus-7 rating in seven games to help Sweden to a silver medal at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship earlier this month. He also had one goal and one assist in seven games with Sweden at the 2017 World Juniors.

Dahlin has five goals and six assists playing with Frolunda in the Swedish Hockey League this season.
