Dahlin to represent Sweden at Karjala Cup

Rasmus Dahlin will get the opportunity to hit one of the biggest stages of the season.

Dahlin, first in Future Considerations’ preliminary ranking for the 2018 NHL Draft, will represent Sweden at the Karjala Cup next month. The Karjala Cup is an annual tournament held in Finland from Nov. 8-12.

The six-team tournament will serve as a potential showcase for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics after the National Hockey League announced on April 3 that it will not participate, ending a run of five consecutive Winter Olympics with NHL players.

Dahlin, 17, has three goals and six points with Frolunda in the Swedish Hockey League this season.
