Cozens tops testing at CHL TPG

Dylan Cozens is at the head of the class.

Cozens, fifth in Future Considerations’ Winter ranking for the 2019 NHL Draft, finished atop the overall standings in the on-ice testing of 10 different categories at the 2019 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

The 17-year-old forward, who has 58 points (25 goals, 33 assists) in 45 games with the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the Western Hockey League, will serve as captain of Team Cherry at the showcase. Kirby Dach of the Saskatoon Blades will captain Team Orr.

Brett Leason of the Prince Albert Raiders, ranked 38th, and Raphael Lavoie of the Halifax Mooseheads, ranked 11th, finished second and third respectively.

Samuel Bolduc of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada led the overall standings on off-ice testing, factoring in performances across seven different fields. Nathan Legare of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, ranked 44th, finished second and Kaedan Korczek of the Kelowna Rockets, ranked 31st, finished third.
