Cajkovic named QMJHL rookie of the month

It was a good month for Maxim Cajkovic.

Cajkovic, 57th in Future Considerations’ Winter ranking for the 2019 NHL Draft, was named the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s rookie of the month for January after posting 12 points (seven goals, five assists) in nine games and had a personal season-high six-game point streak.

The 18-year-old leads the Saint John Sea Dogs and is sixth in the QMJHL among rookies with 34 points (15 goals, 19 assists) in 41 games. His 15 goals are also tied for second among first-year players.

Cajkovic was the first overall selection in the 2018 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.
