Buium earns spot on Team USA’s entry at the World Juniors
Zeev Buium, a top prospect for the 2024 NHL Draft, has been named to Team USA’s entry at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship.
The tournament, in Gothenburg, Sweden, begins Dec. 26.
Buium is a ‘B’ ranked skater in FCHockey’s Preliminary ranking for the 2024 draft, published in October.
The recently-turned 18-year-old, a freshman defenseman at Denver, is the second-youngest player in Division-I college hockey this season and his 25 points (five goals, 20 assists) ties him for third in the nation in scoring. His point totals lead all defenseman, too.
Buium is joined on the roster by fellow 2024 draft eligible Samuel Hillebrandt, a goalie with the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League.
