Zabka is a smallish defensive-minded defenseman who focuses on protecting his own net and plays simple transition game. Zabka, for the most parts of the game, did a much better job not allowing opponents to attack the middle and force them to the bad spots than in my previous viewings, however his gap control was not ideal and getting caught flat-footed he was beaten 1-on-1 by better skaters.
