Marjala is a playmaking forward who plays a smooth, relaxed game. His style of play is perfectly fitted for the power play, where he can dissect defenses with his reads and sets up teammates with excellent feeds. Through all zones, Marjala enjoys distributing the puck. He possesses an incredible passing touch and vision, enabling him to slip passes in tight windows and discovering outlets rapidly. Marjala is a cerebral two-way forward who possesses a complete skillset to impact the game on both ends. What first stands out for the forward is how easy and smooth the game comes to him. Marjala makes decisions on the fly with incredible poise and composure on a consistent basis. Despite his ability as a passer, Marjala is willing to take matters into his own, creating zone exits and entries with stick-handling. The prospect stays low on breakouts and puts his stick in open lanes to be a constant outlet option. He can flash high-end puck skills at times, deking pressure or protecting his puck around defensemen. Another aspect that jumps to the eye when watching Marjala is his defensive pride. He often covers for a pinching defensemen, cutting passes to the slot with a nice active stick. He works very well through one-on-one battles with superb positioning, a physical presence and splendid stick-work. He constantly scans the ice to see which player he has to cover and he does so very successfully. Overall, the same can be said about his defensive game. He keeps a good positioning and is always aware of where his opponents are. He has a good stick and like he does in the offensive zone, he is not scared to go along the boards and battle for pucks when he has to. His acceleration, top speed and stride have all rooms for improvement, sitting around average at the moment. Although not the quickest athlete, he can use brisk cuts and turns to escape pressure thanks to his excellent mobility and decent agility. Despite unimpressive shooting velocity and accuracy, the left-handed attacker acts as a dual threat on the man advantage, willing to throw shots on net. He showcases decent poise, agility and puck skills carrying the puck in open space, but his dynamic posture could be problematic in traffic.
