A defender that has success on the power play, using his shot and passing ability to help QB his team’s special team’s unit. With a quick release and good accuracy his shot has the ability to surprise goalies and he has the vision and IQ to exploit both shooting and passing lanes. A quick and decisive player with the puck on his stick, he makes great breakout passes allowing his team to transition to offense from the defensive zone. Also a reliable player in his defensive zone, he can process the game quickly and identify where he needs to be to help negate opposing scoring chances. Decent lateral movement and agility make up for his poor speed, he won’t provide any dynamic plays and can struggle with his impacts at 5v5. As an overaged player, he has an advantage over some of the other bubble players in this draft because of his calm and mature game. With the impacts he can bring on the man advantage and with his above average play on the defensive side of the puck he has the potential to play at the next level and with more professional experience in Sweden coming next season he could develop into a nice player.
