A player that boasts a burgeoning toolbox for a good offensive game. He is a decent skater with average acceleration and top speed. He has a good 3-way mobility, but sometimes has trouble transferring weight when pivoting. He seems to be calm and patient with the puck and sets up nice first passes to teammates with speed. He moves his body with speed when he has the puck and can stickhandle his way around opponents. He also displays great movement and vision when he has the puck on his stick. This makes him a valuable asset on the power play as he also boasts accurate passes and a decent one-timer. He has a good and accurate first pass, but he needs to improve his decision-making with the puck when he is under pressure. Defensively, he has decent gap-control and reads and follows what is happening on the ice, but his actions are sometimes too passive. When he is being too pedestrian in his own end, it can cause too many scoring chances for opponents. He needs to use his body/stick more and while he is not an overly physical player, he still needs to make it harder for opposing teams in his own end. Overall, he has some upside with his offensive game, but he needs to improve his defense in the future and be more active on the ice, especially in his own zone.
