Jellvik is a left-handed winger who has a nose for scoring points. His favourite and best zone is definitely the offensive one. He is a good puck-handler, and that weapon is the most effective for him on the power play. He is flexible and well-balanced when moving through opposing defenders with the puck, and looks comfortable doing it. His overall hockey sense is pretty good. When his team captures the puck he is able to find free space to receive it, and he often beats his man in one-on-one situations. He finds his way through traffic both with and without the puck. He sets up hard and accurate diagonal passes to open up the defense when he enters the zone. He makes quick, short, direct passes, and he is usually aware of where his teammates are on the ice and what is going to happen next in the play. He screens the goalie well and wants to be around the net all the time. He is a player who always wants to score, and keeps his stick on the ice to be ready. He has a decent shot, but that is something he needs to work more on to become a bigger offensive threat overall. When he loses the puck up ice he works hard to get it back. His skating mechanics are good, but he only has average acceleration. You’d like to see him start and stop more to shake off defenders and be more involved offensively. Has a bad habit of fading into the background when the other team has the puck for stretches. Needs to bring more effort when it comes to hounding the puck, using his stick for pokechecks, and playing physical. Flies his defensive zone a little too early at times. Jellvik is an interesting player who is developing at a nice pace, but one who still has some question marks to his game.
