A gifted offensive center, Henriksson is strong with the puck in his possession and is a quick and agile skater. He is an excellent playmaker that has hard and accurate passes. Despite his small frame, he can make a read and find a good play even when under pressure. He isn’t afraid of physical contact and will willingly takes a hit to make a play. With hard and precise passes he’s able to start the transition game shortly after winning battles for the puck in the defensive zone. A cerebral player, he often knows what to do with the puck before receiving it, something that he utilizes frequently while on the power play. He has very good vision and can be creative in the ways that he sets up his teammates and the accuracy in his passes are very high and often go tape-to-tape. He’s a decent stick handler and can make his way past defenders. He also has a strong wrist shot with good accuracy and if he is given the chance he does not hesitate to put the puck on net. On the downside, he needs quite a bit of work on his play in his own zone. Although he can get very passive and his positioning is quite weak, he does his best on the backcheck to provide support to his teammates in the defensive zone.
