CHL Announces Top Prospects Game Roster

A defensive defenseman who can eat up a lot of ice time while adding secondary offense, he is a big and strong bodied defender. A workhorse in front of his own net, he uses his stick to break up plays, but it’s his IQ that really makes him defensively sound. Not lauded for his speed, still skates well and has power in his skating that can be turned up another level. He has room to grow on his frame and once he adds some weight, some other elements of his game will also elevate. He may not always drive the pace of the game, but he is a strong two-way player who needs to work on being more confident offensively. His defensive awareness is sound and he is quick to read and react to plays in an effort to create turnovers. He handles the puck well in his own zone and shows a highly-regarded hockey sense that is hard to teach. He knows how to use his body at the right time. An active shooter with a quick release, he picks his spots in the game and can put pucks on the net. He knows when to make a pass and is good at setting up lanes. Not a game changer but a solid player who can be impactful when he is on the ice. Despite his large frame, could add more bulk and sandpaper to his physicality.
