Rindell is an offensive-minded defenseman who likes to join offensive rushes and pinch aggressively, he has a good energy level and keeps his feet moving. While he is quite mobile, he doesn’t possess high-end top speed, but he transitions well from forward skating to backward skating as he looks to keep track of his opponent. He is light on his feet and has an average stride but can deploy tight turns, solid crossovers and displays decent edges.  Defensively, he is good at putting pressure on the puck carrier with an active stick and then closes the gap physically and with good timing and positioning. Keeps extremely calm when carrying the puck in his own zone and does not panic when getting pressured by opposing forwards, making smart decisions with the puck. Likes to carry the puck out of his zone instead of making a quick, short pass to a teammate as he prefers to make the first pass within the neutral zone. While he is not a dominant force in the offensive zone, he will play up the boards and forecheck to keep the puck in the offensive zone. Possesses a strong slap shot and can rip it off with power. As a smaller player, he doesn’t play a physical game or make big hits but can play with tenaciousness along the boards.
