Edvinsson, Lysell headline Sweden’s U18 entry

An offensively dynamic center, he has a nice flow in his skating and manages to maintain speed over longer distances. An offensive threat, he gains with the puck in control through the neutral zone and into the offensive zone and cuts through traffic. He has an average top speed, but he is really explosive in his first strides and acceleration. He has good mobility and agility, which helps him to change direction and twist and turn to create space. This together with his hard work both ways and strength make him a valuable two-way player on any team. He is not the player with the biggest frame, but he uses his body so well to protect the puck. He also has decent offensive instincts as he intended to attack the middle to create good scoring chances for himself or his teammates. He has a decent, average wrist shot, but he could improve its accuracy. He owns a good, crisp pass which he can set up his teammates with. He is an effective forechecker who always competes and who is not afraid to get into more dirty areas. Along the boards he handles the physical aspect and often gets his hands on the puck and wins battles. Without the puck, he shows great urgency in his backcheck. He works just as hard in his defensive zone as in the offensive zone.
