A lanky forward who is agile on his skates and can change directions quickly. Galimov is especially smooth on lateral moves and can make nice pivots, though he is not an elite skater. He’s got a strong stride and can generate power on his edges, but the explosiveness doesn’t stand out. One of his strengths is that he is always in motion and never stands still, always moving his legs, which makes it extremely hard for opposing defenders to keep him under control and away from dangerous plays. Shows a solid compete level, especially in the offensive zone, where he is noticeable on most of his shifts. He’s got the instincts to find open ice and exploit weaknesses, occasionally trying a slick deke to get inside a defender or using the whole offensive zone to drive wide and circle back around to get a better look within the offensive zone. He’s got a quick shot making him a weapon when sneaking in tight or around the net. He is a player that thinks the game offensively and manages to find and exploit openings on ice quite well, often skating into good spots when not in puck possession mainly thanks to his quick hands and skating style. His defensive game could use some work, especially his zone coverage in his own end as a center. He gets knocked off the puck too easily and he is more of an abrasive player than a physical one.
