POW Watch: Week ending January 3

Corson Ceulemans of the University of Wisconsin Badgers defenseman was named the Big Ten Conference Second Star of the Week.

Ceulemans was named the defenseman of the tournament at the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off over the weekend. He registered three points (one goal, two assists) in two games to help secure the weekend sweep of Yale and No. 16 ranked Providence. 

He was also named Hockey Commissioners’ Association National Rookie of the Month  for December, is a product of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), where he amassed 46 career points in 52 games with the Brooks Bandits.

Ceulemans, selected in the first round (No. 25) of the 2021 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets, leads the Badgers with 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) and has been a bright spot on the back end as a freshman.
