Luchanko bests peers in CHL Top Prospects on-ice testing

Jett Luchanko has topped his peers in fitness testing at the CHL Top Prospects Game.

Luchanko, a center with the Guelph Storm who will represent Team White in the exhibition, finished first overall in testing on Tuesday ahead of the Top Prospects Game in Moncton on Wednesday. Sam Dickinson of the London Knights finished second, and Carson Wetsch of the Calgary Hitmen slotted third. Beckett Sennecke and Charlie Elick finished fourth and fifth respectively.

On-ice tests included forward and backward sprints, weave agility, transition agility, and reaction drills performed with and without the puck.

Luchanko ranked in the top five in six different events, including fourth in the 30-meter skate, third in the 30-meter skate with the puck, fourth in the 30-meter backwards skate with the puck, second in transition ability with the puck, and first overall in reaction with the puck.
