2021 IIHF World Under-18s tournament awards
Matvei Michkov, eligible for the 2023 NHL Draft, was named the MVP of the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship.
The 16-year-old led the tournament in goals (12) and points (16). His goal total is the second-highest single-tournament total in Under-18s history. He was also named Best Forward, and was voted to the tournament all-star team.
Aleksi Heimosalmi (๐ซ๐ฎ) was named the tournament’s best defenseman. Benjamin Gaudreau (๐จ๐ฆ) was named the tournament’s top goaltender.
Joining Michkov and Heimosalmi on the media all-star team was goaltender Sergei Ivanov (๐ท๐บ), defenseman Brandt Clarke (๐จ๐ฆ), and forwards Connor Bedard (๐จ๐ฆ) and Samu Tuomaala (๐ซ๐ฎ).
